Does your hard drive have any of the following symptoms?
Drive is not recognized by the computer drive is recognized but reports size of 0 bytes drive reports smart errors on boot as long as the drive is still powering up (spinning up) without any clicking noises or grinding, than your drive can be repaired & all of your data will be intact.
Due to faulty firmware seagate barracuda 7200.11 sata drives lock up & fail to be detected by the bios.
Fortunately the drive is still mechanically fine & the data is all still there.
This affected retail sata drives, oem drives, & external drives from the 7200.11 family.
If you drive is an external drive & it sounds like is still spinning fine with no clicks or grinding but it is not recognized by the os (windows, etc.) than it may be due to this faulty firmware.
External drives can be fixed also, but it requires removing the drive from the external enclosure which voids the warranty from seagate.
Instructions: please email me with your drive type & model number so i can confirm that it falls under this "bricking" problem.
Once it is confirmed that the drive is repairable, i will email you my address to send the drive to. (pennsylvania, usa) i will email you as soon as the drive is repaired with a screenshot of your data & you can complete the "buy it now" option & payment through paypal.
Once payment is received, the drive will be promptly shipped back to you.
You only pay once the drive is repaired, no need to pay ahead of time for a service that hasn't been completed! (please package the drive as securely as possible to avoid any damage in transit) once i receive the drive, the turnaround time is usually 1-2 days before i can repair it & send it back to you.
I will also update your firmware to avoid any future problems!!!
